We recently launched a new grant program to support and partner with like-minded organizations in the wider community that address issues of social injustice.

Grantees:

Trinity Boston Foundation

The Episcopal Youth Alliance (TEYA)
ECM awarded a grant to help TEYA create opportunities for the individuals within the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts who are involved in programs/initiatives for children, youth and young adults to interact, share information and experiences & exchange ideas. At the same time, working to ensure that people within the Diocese and beyond are aware of the good work being done through these programs/initiatives and understand how they can provide ongoing encouragement and support to those involved

Trinity Public School Partners (TPSP)
Awarded a planning and development grant to support their Trinity Public School Partners program (TPSP). TPSP is a program that collaborates with neighbors and community partners as it engages Boston public schools to improve the lives and education of all Boston Public School students. The grant will support TPSP as it strengthens current partnerships, explores additional ones and considers the feasibility of a regional network of faith-based school partnerships.

Massachusetts Council of Churches (MCC)
Given the historical strengths of ECM and MCC in the areas of advocacy and public policy, ECM awarded a grant to the MCC so to further explore opportunities and priorities for both organizations, especially around immigration reform.  The grant also supported MCC’s work to expand and deepen their current policy engagement within their membership (17 Orthodox and Protestant churches/denominations in the state, approximately 1700 congregations.)

Boston Faith and Justice Network
ECM awarded a grant to support their new work connecting Christians to the justice concerns of Boston-area refugees. In addition to helping build momentum for their emerging refugee relational advocate program and to continue their work with Lazarus at the Gate, a social justice curriculum for parishes.
