With support from Finding Our Way Home, the Co-op seeks to take intentional first steps toward integrating healing, rest, and care into its power-building model. Funding will support an in-person Board retreat in early 2026 focused on governance, communication, and organizational culture—creating space to strengthen trust, improve collaboration, and reduce burnout after years of primarily virtual engagement. Follow-up workshops will extend this work to worker-owners and engaged member-owners, building a shared culture that values wellbeing alongside accountability and impact.

The Co-op’s hypothesis is that investing in relational health and restorative practices will strengthen leadership, improve communication between Board, staff, and members, and create the conditions necessary to expand shared governance. By nurturing a more resilient internal culture, the Co-op will be better positioned to sustain its mission, deepen participation in the solidarity economy, and model an approach to economic justice that centers people, dignity, and collective care.
