Building Muscles of Resistance: Many Ways of Knowing
Join us on Tuesday, March 10th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm to connect, reflect, and take part in ECM’s Emergent Action Network (EAN)—a hub for spiritual grounding, collaboration, and meaningful action. Together, we can build the community that builds a better world.
This month we will focus on “multiple ways of knowing” as a first step towards building our muscles of resistance. To realize God’s kingdom on earth, we don’t just need to transform the world around us. We ourselves must be transformed in the process. In western culture, we prioritize intellectual knowing, defer to “experts,” and carry a devotion to the written word.
Yet we miss what is actually happening when we don’t make space for other ways of knowing. We are open to being manipulated, especially in these times when AI, the government, and mainstream media are turning what we know as “truth” upside down! In this gathering, we consider exactly how we can build our muscle of “multiple ways of knowing,” and yield tangible results as we confront fascism and oppression.
