Brockton Workers Alliance

With support from Finding Our Way Home, the organization will expand Mental Health and Wellness Programming that integrates healing practices into its power-building model. Funds will support a series of trauma-informed wellness and healing sessions—including movement-based practices such as Zumba, trauma-healing yoga, conflict resolution, and guided reflection spaces focused on grounding, hope, and future visioning. These offerings are designed to help participants regulate fear, process trauma, and rebuild a sense of safety and agency in the midst of ongoing uncertainty.

This work will engage board members, staff, core leaders, and civic engagement leaders, ensuring healing is shared across the organization’s leadership base. The organization’s hypothesis is that when leaders are supported in their own healing journeys, they are better equipped to accompany others, cultivate compassionate and resilient communities, and sustain long-term organizing. By creating healing-centered environments, the organization aims to strengthen collective courage, empathy, and freedom from fear—laying the groundwork for more effective, humane, and durable campaigns for immigrant justice.
