Lynn Worker Center

With funding from Finding Our Way Home, Lynn Worker Center will expand healing and emotional support for immigrant workers who face daily stress and fear from racial profiling, ICE activity, and workplace challenges. Monthly emotional support group sessions will provide a safe space for participants to share their stories, practice breathing exercises, sing, reflect, and exchange cultural traditions such as recipes from their home countries. These sessions aim to reduce anxiety, foster mutual appreciation, and help members restore energy and strengthen family relationships.

Led by experienced staff including Vilma Zavala, trained in restoration therapy, and Director Julio Ruiz, who incorporates music into healing practices, the project will create a consistent space for care and rejuvenation. The Center will also partner with local allies, including the Women’s Committee of the North Shore Labor Council, to provide logistical and community support. By integrating healing into everyday organizing, Lynn Worker Center anticipates stronger resilience among staff and members, improved wellbeing for participants, and more effective, grounded engagement in justice campaigns
