Pioneer Valley Worker Center
With funding from Finding Our Way Home, PVWC will expand its healing, rest, and cultural programming to better support members, families, and staff impacted by detention, deportation, and family separation. Building on our existing Healing Circles, convivios, and culturally grounded gatherings, we will create spaces for reflection, emotional processing, and joy. Activities will include Healing Circles for women leaders, family-centered cultural events with food, music, and traditional remedies from the People’s Medicine Project, and a staff retreat focused on rest and rejuvenation. By integrating these practices, PVWC strengthens the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our community while fostering resilience and connection.
This work is central to our organizing and campaigns. When members and staff feel supported, grounded, and connected, they are more empowered to engage in leadership and collective action. Through healing-centered spaces, PVWC nurtures a culture of care that strengthens trust, deepens relationships, and sustains engagement in campaigns like LUCE. By embedding healing into our power-building model, we ensure that our community can show up with renewed strength, resilience, and hope, creating both immediate support and long-term capacity for justice work
